I am mom to fraternal twin girls, 4 yrs old and the absolute light of my life!  I'm in my (later) 30's, been married 14 years and we live in the very NE part of the Atlanta metro area.  I went back to work full time in the field of accounting when my girls turned 2.  At times I envy SAHM's and WAHM's, but fortunately I have a great deal of flexibility in my schedule and a terriffic mgr!

 One of the twins was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot.  This is a 4-part heart defect that required open heart surgery when she was 3 months old to fix.  She has had a host of developmental delays and other medical problems.  Today, her heart is functioning beautifully and our primary ongoing issues are the migraines that strike her every 4-12 weeks or so.  These started at 9 months old and generally result in a trip to ER if not an overnight hospital stay.

My second twin is beautifully normal and healthy (thank God).  I am really enjoying this time in their lives, as the girls are making huge strides in their independence (some days good and some days not so good) as well as in the things they are learning.  Pre-K is about to start and they will attend a pre-k class at a regular elementary school.  I don't know if I'm ready for that, but they are.
