A little about me, my name is Carrie, I'm 34, I'm a RN and my dh is Paul he is 35, he is a web developer/computer programmer. We have a beautiful little girl named Emily. She is our miracle child. I suffer from endometriosis and PCOS, and had problems conceiving. With the help from my Doctor and fertility drugs he put me on, after 5 years with no success we finally got pregnant, after only 4 mos. of clomid. She is now 7 years old and in first grade. We had been ttc #2 for 3 years, finally with help from fertility drugs I found out I was pregnant on July 4, 2009 and gave birth to #2, my son Aidin Chayce on March 7, 2010. He is now 1 1/2 and such a charmer :) We couldn't be any happier. God is so great to have blessed us with another beautiful blessing.
I graduated nursing school on August 29, 2008. I'm very excited to finally be in the career I have always dreamed of. I'm currently in my bachelors program and once I'm done I plan on applying for my masters degree/Nurse Practitioner Program. I want to be a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner and help women that suffer with endometriosis and PCOS. My OB/GYN has already said he will hire me once I am finsihed. I'm very excited and cannot wait to be helping women that suffer from these horrible diseases.
I am also the owner of the group Endometriosis and PCOS support group. Since being diagnosed with endo over 8 years ago I didn't know who to turn to, no one understood what I was going through. So after I joined cafe mom I decided to start a support group for other women suffering too. Together we can offer each other support and try to get the word out there about how awful endo and pcos is and to get real medical help and hopefully in the future we can find a cure. Please feel free to join, we love new members and offer great support to women suffering-with PCOS and/or endo. If you want to know anything else about me, please drop me a line sometime.
