I am a new mother... I didn't know what to expect from being a mom, but every day I love it more.  My husband and I are totally in love with this little guy.

We live in the Seattle area of Washington State - contrary to popular belief, it's actually quite lovely here.  Yes, it is gray a lot, but when the sun shines, there is no other place as beautiful in my eyes.

I'm a hairdresser by trade, but I quit my job last year when my family was making plans to move.  I got pregnant shortly after, and my husband's career plans changed, which had us staying here.  This is great for me because my parents and sister are local to the area (two miles away!) and I didn't want my folks to miss being first time grandparents.  That said, currently I have an office job with very boring to have explained job functions, but it's a fun job to do.  I'm an "Account Coordinator."  I work for these folks: http://www.sanmar.com/

My parents are HEAD OVER HEELS for their grandson, and loving being Grandma and Grandpa.  My dad was so excited that he was "getting a boy," (being a father to two daughters himself) that he already has bought Xander toys for when he's four or five!

Hubby (William) and I have been married for five years, and some days that feels like a long time, but mostly my head is spinning with how fast the years fly.  I guess that once you're a parent time seems to fly REALLY fast.

I'm a Christian; I go to a relaxed Baptist church and have a really great community there.  I'm always growing in this area; I wish to do better and study the Bible more, but again... always growing.
