What great pics ... your girls look like happy campers. When we lived in the mtns I loved snow days ... I could quilt without feeling guilty. Stay dry, keep warm & sip some hot cider ... yum
Stopped by to say heelo and invite you to join me in one or all of my groups! Have a wonderful week!!

Thanks for the book suggestion - I'll check it out. A friend loaned me Hot Stuff by Janet Evanovich. I'm told it's entertaining. Typical for fall in SoCal it's sunny, dry & in the 80's. Have a good wk my friend.
What good book did you have in mind. I'm looking for something interesting to read. They say it's going to be 92 today ... oh I'm so over this summer heat thing ... lol. Enjoy your Fri & your sweet little girls.
Ten things I love:
1. My family--Chad, Grace, Elizabeth and dog, Ripley
2. Quilting - I've been a quilter for several years. There's nothing better than snuggling under a quilt during an Iowa snowstorm.
3. Reading - my escape from reality. I read two or three books a week, mostly fiction. I like a good romance, historical novels and a mystery now and then.
4. Iowa - I am not ashamed to say that I love, love, love my home state of Iowa. I am the original farmgirl, even though I live in town now.
5. Movies - While DH and I haven't been able to catch new movies on a regular basis since the kids came along, we still like a good movie on Friday and Saturday nights. Nowadays, we usually take one via PPV or the old movie channels.
6. Hamburgers and french fries -- Not the best thing for the waistline, but by far my favorite foods in the world.
7. A ferocious thunderstorm -- They remind exactly who is in charge here: God, not me.
8. A clean house - While I do not necessarily enjoy the process it takes to get the final product, lounging on my sofa in a clean house at the end of the day is well worth the effort.
9. My husband's cooking - For two reasons: 1) He's a better cook than I am (although I can cook decent meals). 2) I did not have to cook said meal.
10. Christmas - For all its commercialism, this is still my favorite holiday. I love the excuse to shop for other people and decorate my house to the hilt. A few years back, I even started an annual neighborhood cookie exchange that everybody looks forward to now.
