Our biggest news is that we are only weeks away from bringing home our 2-year-old, Dylan, from China.  This is our first adoption through China and we are elated!  Dylan has severe damaged hearing, so it will be a little adjustment for us as we struggle to communicate via sign while we await testing in the U.S. for any new info on his level of hearing. 

In addition to Dylan, we have 2 other daughters living at home - a 19-year-old in college and a 14-year-old in 8th grade. 

I am a medical transcriptionist working at a small hospital.  I also have digital dictation equipment to work from home, and the doctors I transcribe for are ecstatic with the new technology. 

I love to read, crochet, watch movies.  My favorite shows are Little People Big World, House, Army Wives, Criminal Minds, CSI Miami, Law and Order SVU.  I also love African elephants.  My goal is to someday have an elephant sanctuary.  I would love to volunteer at a sanctuary to get experience, but there are none in PA.

My husband is a plant manager for a factory and also designs and builds automated equipment, writes procedure manuals, builds model airplanes and helicopters, and flies a paraplane, as well as a small commuter plane. 

We have 4 large dogs - an albino Doberman, a black lab, a chocolate lab, and a lab/husky mix.  I love dogs!  My next will be an English Bulldog - although my husband thinks they are too expensive and told me I can have one if I find a free puppy.  I told him if I find a free puppy, there's got to be a free litter so I'll take them all!  If anyone knows of free bulldog puppies - help me out here!

I love to create crafts for the kids to do.  Every year for my mom and dad's brithdays or Christmas our kids create homemade gifts for them.  We're always open to new ideas, so please pass along any you have. 

My kids are enrolled in PA Cyber Charter School and I love home schooling.  My 13-year-old has jumped 2 grade levels in reading this year, and completed her whole 6th grade year in 4 months last year.  I love the option that PA Cyber has brought to our state!
