    Why NFP Rocks!

    1.  Responsiblity is shared between both man and woman, exercising communication skills which is imperative in a successful relationship.

    2.  Fertility observations are helpful to both patient & dr in diagnosing reproductive problems, and recognizing transitions from 1 stage of life to another.

    3.  Teaches the incredible function of a womans body and what a miraculous gift fertility is.

    4.  Is used to both avoid and achieve pregnancy, allowing couples to determine whether or not they are ready for another child every cycle.

    5.  Since it works with the body instead of against the body, there are no negative side effects or health risks.

    6.  Celebrates both the unitive and procreative aspects of sex.

    7.  Allows couples to be lazy since no device, barrier or hormone, available only at the doctors office or pharmacy, needs to be retrieved prior to, during, or after sex.

    8.  Allows couples to save money because it's free, except for the thermometer and photocopied chart.

    9.  Is biblical and pleasing to God since it does not reject fruitfullness, and is keeping with 1 Cor 7:4-5 : "A wife does not have authority over her own body, but rather her husband, and similarly a husband does not have authority over his own body, but rather his wife.  Do not deprive each other, except perhaps by mutual consent for a time, to be free for prayer, but then return to one another, so that Satan may not tempt you through your lack of self-control."

    10.  Is the only Pro-Woman and Pro-Family form of birth control.

I read through the book already and am going over it again as I chart the book is called Natural Birth Control Made Simple by Barbara Kass-Anese. I started my BBT this morning and will continue to chart that and note the mucus and cervix as well. I jsut could not find anywhere in the book about the spotting. it only mentioned the after period spotting.
