Hi, all! My name is Nancy and I have two incredible daughters (11 and 8). I am 48 years old (yikes!) and presently work part-time for my town's police department. I have a bunch of degrees in a bunch of diverse fields, and in the past I've been employed as: a 911 dispatcher, an interior designer, a paramedic, a teacher, a proof-reader, in retail, and more.

I am originally from Montreal, but have lived in many east coast cities. I've resided in the Seattle area for nearly 13 years now - the longest I've ever lived in one place since I was 20.

I love to read and travel. I enjoy my t.v. shows despite my NOT having cable (!). Shows I am addicted to are: Jeopardy!; ER (I'm already grieving its finale! I don't think I've ever missed ONE episode!); and, 24 (go, Jack, go!). There are other shows I like, too, but not as fanatically. I also like to go to a weekly trivia contest with my buddies at a local tavern, and I love home beautification projects (my husband and I both have degrees in interior design).

Of course, it goes without saying that my girls keep me VERY busy. Most of my waking hours are spent shlepping them to and from their various activities. Both are in Girl Scouts (I'm the troop's "cookie mom" this year. I had NO idea how involved that was - until NOW!). Both attend Sunday school and mid-week religion classes. My eldest attends weekly acting lessons and goes on many auditions, and she is in a play which requires daily rehearsals after school. My youngest is in a "Girls on the Run" girl empowerment program twice a week. Need I go on? I know most of you can relate!!!!
