Hi ya!

I'm Betsy, a single mom living in Long Island, New York.

I moved to the US in August 2011, having been born and raised in England.  I hold dual US-UK citizenship, as my late mom was American, and it was always my plan to move here at some point.

I moved here with my estranged husband, shortly after we got married, after he had secured a job in New York.  A few months after we moved here, he announced he regretted getting married, and that he no longer loved it.  I later learned he was seeing a work colleague (they are still together).  I have recently started divorce proceedings.

My estranged husband has chosen not to have anything to do with my son.

Not the happiest of back stories I know, but I wanted to get it out there, because right now it's a big part of my life.

However, I'm in a good place right now, and my son Josiah is the reason for that.  I am in a place where I feel I can move on and make a life for me and my son.

Believe it or not, away from all the doom and gloom I've had over the last year, I'm actually a really positive person.  I'm happy-go-lucky and really chatty.  I love to have a laugh and I'm known for my wicked sense of humor.
