I am a 26 year old mother of a son and a new daughter. My son was diagnosed with autism a year ago. He is 3 now. I work in the Healthcare field and have not been back to work since my son was diagnosed. I found it to be very overwhelming and I always had him on my mind wondering if he was ok. He is extremely intelligent and stubborn. He likes to rough house and just be a boy.
I like to go bowling, to the movies, to the park or just plain walking. I'm looking for a support group in my area and am not having much luck. Online has proven successful, but sometimes ya just need to hear a voice or have someone give you a hug.
I ended a relationship recently and I'm loving it. It took up way too much of my time. He was very indifferent to my son's need and very misunderstanding to the point that he would hurt my feelings....I'm just glad he is gone. So I'm freeeeeeeeeeee! Now I can focus more on what matters and thats my kids. I hope to find someone online in my area to have playdates with our kids together.
Good luck to all, and I'm here if anyone has questions or just need a shoulder to cry on!
