personal statements are always hard to do. how much do you really want to know, and how much should i really be sharing on a "first date?" i have always been blatently honest on the web, but face-to-face, i wouldn't say a word. why is that, i wonder? i have the mouth of a sailor, which is easier to keep in check here than in real life. i have been a girl scout leader for 5 years, and it isn't as easy as it sounds.

i hate to clean and love to scrap, paint, try new recipes, camp, play games and, uh, i *ahem* mess around on myspace a lot. if you wanna be myspace friends, please send me a message along with your request so i know it's a cafemom-mom. i have picked up viruses by clicking on profiles in my friend request box and will delete people who don't send messages first! i also have a "real" blog, but if it's good enough to get placed on the dustbunnies, you'll see it here, too.

everyone here is a mom to fabulous kids, so that isn't news. i have been married to my husband and best friend for 158 months. we met in the air force and all four of our kids were born in different time zones. we have moved 9 times in 12 years and don't plan on moving anytime soon.....unless australia is involved! i believe in home-cooked meals and very little time in front of the tv. we play games, play outside, go for walks, make things, paint things and enjoy being together because we know that someday (sooner than later, now that we have a 'tween) we'll have to twist arms and bribe for family time.

i just started working outside the home (for pay, even!!) in the fall when my littlest little of all started school full time. i am a registered substitute teacher for our elementary school and i also report to work at 0400 (that's am, ladies) as a security officer at the airport.
