My name is Kaci and I am married to the love of my life, Tyler. We have 6 daughters and 1 son: Bethany Karlie (15,) Kiersten Peyton (13,) Camdyn Brielle (9,) Jaycee Saylor (7,) Cadence Teagan (4,) Layne Macie (2,) and Ethan James (7 months old.)

1. My mother gave my brother and I up as babies because she got pregnant and then decided she couldn't handle 2 children. My father was an abusive alcoholic that couldn't put one coherent sentence together; let alone raise 2 kids.

2. I was adopted by a nice foster family that took good care of me. I grew up with 4 step siblings. My brother lived with a very nice family too and we saw each other quite often.

3. When I was 9, my beloved step mother developed cancer. She was constantly in the hospital. Miraculously, she finally recovered. She was never really the same again, but she appreciated the small things in life even more.

4. When I went to school, I was teased because I didn't really look like the rest of my family. They were brunettes and I was the only blonde . I only really had one friend and in 5th grade, she moved back to Japan. Then I was really alone; everyone hated me and would always talk about me behind my back.

5. I changed schools in 7th grade, but many girls at that school knew girls from my old school and so knew the "strange little adopted girl." I didn't know what the big deal was; I thought plenty of people were adopted, but I was proven wrong. 

6. I stayed there for one year and then it was just too much. We moved houses - and not just around the block - no, to a different state. My step dad had to find work up there, my step siblings had to cope with all of a sudden getting transferred to different schools, and it was because of me. I felt bad, but there was hope for me here.

7. 8th Grade through 10th Grade were okay because I had quite a few friends. However, more and more cliques were becoming present and the school wasn't doing anything to stop it. Although I wasn't being bullied, my parents didn't want me to stay at a school where the administration was practically "ok-ing" cliques and bullying. 

8. I moved to one last school for my the final two years of high school. I had many friends there; it was the best school of them all. But I hardly ever saw my brother anymore - I had only seen him twice since the time we moved. 

9. When I was 19, I moved out of the house and moved states. I was ecstatic when my brother came shortly after! That's when we both started our own families and that is where we are today!

I may have had a rough beginning, but I couldn't be happier that now I am where I want to be - close to those people that love me the most.
