Family

1 Mommy/Wife + 1 Daddy/Husband + 2 Daughter/Sisters= Us. Kate, Jon, Alaina, and Chloe. We're a rather interesting bunch. Feel free to interpret "interesting" as loosely as you'd like. We're all quite happy despite minor difficulties (as most families are now, I'm sure.) What other way is there to be?

General

Me? I'm Kate. My screen name says it twice so if you ever find yourself forgetting you can refer back to that. I'm 22 and currently a SAHM. I've been contemplating school again and hope to re-enroll soon.

If you asked me what my "thing" is I'd say writing. It took a long time for me to decide what it was I wanted to do with my life (aside from mothering, mind you.) and now that I've finally decided I've really got to start working towards it. I write a little bit of this, that and everything. (Honestly!) I really can't wait for my big idea to hit me--my book. My book will be my third baby. Until then I'd be so so so happy writing for a magazine or newspaper.

I have a nice list of things I want to learn in the near future. This list includes (but isn't limited to): belly dance, guitar and other stringed instruments, and crocheting. Lots of fun stuff, no?

Issues

I have my opinions so let me have them. No amount of personal zeal, prodding or shouting is going to change my mind.

I don't like arguing and I've found myself even less inclined to enjoy debating (most likely due to my depleted store of patience. An unfortunate side effect of little childrens.) What I can tolerate, however, is healthy discussion and explanation. I'm actually quite good at understanding two sides of a story---which makes it difficult for me when I do have the patience for a debate.

So, stick around and you'll find out how I feel about what things. We may not agree on something--we may not agree on anything at all--but in my mind we can probably still be friends!
