  • Personal Statement

    I am a stay-at-home mom of two children. My daughter, Fiona is 10 years old and my son, Aidan is 8 years old. I have been married for almost 11 years. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, however I grew up in northern New Jersey.

    I love to read and I write a little bit. If I could afford it - I would love to start horseback riding again. I love horses and wished I owned one. I love to cros-stitch in my ample spare time.

    The older I get the more I wish for some quiet, peaceful time on a porch somewhere with a good book to read and a cup of coffee.

    I love the early mornings before the rest of my family gets up. It is so quiet, peaceful, and comforting. I get crabby if I don't get to start my day this way.

    Now that I am in my forties, I have just figured out what I want to be when I grow up. I have gone back to school to get my teaching license as well as my Master's degree. I have at least two years to go in this program. Probably longer at the pace I am keeping.

    I am looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends and learning some new things along the way.

    I am glad I made you smile ... we ALL need that every once in a while don't we? ... as for your book suggestions, I have always gotten some for my own list ... even if they weren't chosen in the polls. So thanks for that. Hannah is 6 and has been horse obsessed since she was about 2. She has ridden on one every year since and it only makes her love of them more pronouced ... they are an expensive and time consuming hobby though ...
