I am a 44 year old single mom to a one year old daughter!  Yikes!  A lot of friends my age already are grandparents, so it's been pretty interesting.  I hadn't planned on being a mother - wasn't opposed to it, but just hadn't worked out in my life, then boom!  Got prego.  "Dad" lives in Miami, is somewhat a part of the picture.   He's only met his daughter once and doesn't make all that much effort.  I am at this point in limbo about going after support...  Anyway, that's my story!
