I am very happy at this moment in my life. I am married to the best hubby ever, we just celebrated our 5 year anniversary, and I am a mom to a beautiful baby girl. I am exhausted but exhilirated with my new endeavor. I have read all the "how to be a good mommy" books and have thrown all the advice out the window. I became a parent to take care of my baby, not to let her cry all night. If she is up 62 times a night, so am I.
The top 10 things I want to teach my daughter in no particular order are:
1. the simple and beautiful gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
2. to not be afraid to fail,
3. that it is okay to cry.
4. that there is nothing better than a new pair of shoes, except maybe a fabulous new eyeshadow.
5. to not be afraid to make her own decisions.
6. that I will always be her steady ground, so don't be afraid to try out life.
7. a good book, and a bubble bath will cure any bad day.
8. boys will break her heart, but its worth it when you find "the one"
9. to be nice to everyone, no matter what.
10. that Tiffanys and Nordstom will always be a safe haven.
I am a super girly girl, but love camping and the outdoors. I love to read, and hope to someday have my own childrens books published. I can spend the whole day at the mall, and be content with not spending a dime.
