    all is well now. she inhaled some fluid when she was born so she had wet lung and then some air outside her lung. spent 3 days in the NICU but got released and went home with me on time. feeling very blessed by that, and loving every second of having my family together.

  • Personal Statement

    Let's see, I guess there are 10 things that you should know about me.

    10. I was born in California, lived in Mississippi and Texas, and raised here in Illinois. So I've been told that I'm a fun-in-the-sun-loving Midwestern girl with good ole Southern hospitality. (sorry, lost the accent years ago!)
    9. I am absolutely the most ambitious procrastinator you'll ever meet. I have plenty of goals, all of which I will finish at the last possible minute. (but hey, at least I finish, right?)
    8. I'm very family-oriented. I appreciate my family so much more after having lived 800+ miles away from them at one point.
    7. I laugh at just about anything. I could find humor in almost any situation, even if it's totally inappropriate.
    6. I'm an EMT and CNA, but I'm a bit of a germaphobe.  I'm currently a Student Nurse (yay!), and eventually I'd like to become a CRNA.
    5. I have a tattoo, and am feeling the itch to get more ink.
    4. As much as I would like to be able to let someone take care of me, I just can't. I'm too proud and independent for that.
    3. I'm very sheltered. So much so that it's almost past the point of no return.
    2. I have a son, and we're definitely a package deal.  He's my entire world.
