    Hi Moms!

I am so happy to have found a place to share and educate myself.   I have enjoyed the interaction I have with other moms and hope to build my "friends" in order to share the good times and the bad times all the while helping each other discover answers and support from each other.

I'm an adoptive mom of three wonderful kids, 15 year old boy, 13 year old girl and 10 year old boy.  My husband of 23 years is in law enforcement and a Baptist Preacher, hence the name mrsrevjohnson.

Our oldest son lives and breathes for baseball.  He is a joy most of the time however he is 15 years old.....  School is easy for him most of the time getting A's and B's without much effort.  He is a member of the senior beta club, plays baseball, sound guy at our Church and loves Penn State.  He is an amazing young man.  Having a brother with special needs has really built his character and his empathy for others dealing with disabilities in their families.

My middle child is my only girl. She is a princess according to her father.  She is precious but lets just say she is an 13 year old girl.  Yup she is just like me.  I hate when that happens don't you?  She is adopted and acts like me.  In one of little drama scenes this week I could have sworn that she was a mini me.  That is so scary.  She is my shopping buddy and will go anywhere I go.  She has the biggest heart in the world and would give away her last penny if someone needed it.  School is a little more difficult for her but she works hard and gets A's and B's.  She is an amazing reader far beyond her reading grade level.  She is the most compassionate person you will ever meet.

Our youngest son now 10 is the cutest thing.  He has so many emotional problems and has overcome many physical problems.  He was born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome causing him to have very aggressive and destructive behaviors that we are learning to deal with.  He has taught me so much in his short 10 years.  I have patients now that I never had before.  He has shown me what is truly important and what "isn't a big deal" in life.  He has opened a whole new world for us.  He loves his big brother more than breathing and looks up to him.  He to loves baseball and he loves to swim.  In the summer he would swim all day every day if possible.

I feel when there are struggles in your life it's God's way of giving you additional skills you will need.  We have tried to use the struggles in our life with our youngest son to help other parents who are going through similar things.  We spent years trying to get our son help only to run into one brick wall after another and I am determined to share every bit of information I have learned in order to help other parents so that they can find the hope we have found.
