Personal Statement
I live on the east coast. I moved from Houston, Texas over 6 years ago and still feel like a stranger here.
I believe my purpose on this planet is to help people rather than make loads of $$$. Hence, I am a career changer and am getting my masters so I can teach elementary school. Have I lost my mind?
I am living the life I have waited 30 years for. Unfortunately, my adolesence lasted an entire 29 years, and I've gotten a late start on things.

My latest obsessions: I want to make sure my child is getting the best education public schools can offer.
I think it's important for children to get outside and play and explore in the woods. Unfortunately, I am too lazy to take my kids outside. I'm working on it though.
I miss my friends in Virginia and in Texas. How do you make friends in a new town at THIRTY-SIX years old?
My husband is fantabulous! He's very supportive and the nicest man in the world.
I am a stay-at-home mom and get two, 2-hour breaks while the baby is napping. This is how I'm spending one of those breaks.

Do yourself a favor. Write down what you want to be, and tape it somewhere you can see it at school. Refer back whenever you're not sure what decision to make or if you want to come back to work tomorrow. :)

Yeah, I have a pair that are a bit strange... I wear a belt with them - it still sits on my higher area waist and looks stylish... have you tried a belt? You need to buy a larger belt because it will sit on your hips... Don't be afraid to ask a sales person at a trendy shop like New York and company... I found them to be helpful to moms wanting to get a little stylish... let me know how the belt works!
