    I really don't think that is accurate but I'll still get back with you later. Look at this website from the Illinois State Board of Education. http://www.isbe.state.il.us/HomeSchool/ There is a form where you CAN register but it states right on the form that registering is voluntary. I'll get back with you.

    Honestly, I have no idea. I looked up Illinois home school laws and didn't see where that was necessary. Give me a day or two and I can find out. I have many friends in Illinois who home school and have been home schooling for a long time. I'll find out for sure.
