Babies are born everyday of the year

They see, they touch, they feel, they hear.

From culred up fingers and tiny little toes

pink chubby cheeks and a curled up nose.

Sent from above, they're a wonderful treasure

a gift of love no parent can measure.

But little Adrianna was born too soon

She'll never feel the warmth of a summer afternoon.

She'll  never know the feeling of a gentle spring breeze

the taste of popsicles or skinned up knees.

Many prayers were offered with no end in sight

While family and loved ones stood vigil day and night.

She fought for so long, and it seemed like she'd won

But God finally said "No child, your work here is done."

So the angels came and took her tiny hand

For now, it's something we don't really understand.

But in trials like these is when our faith must be strong

For little Adrianna, you see, she'll get along.

She's with Jesus in heaven and though we miss her today,

the hope of eternal life tells us we'll see her again someday.

She's feeling Spring breezes flowing through her hair

eating popsicles with loved ones, and learning to share.

The grass is so green, the tallest of trees.

she'll probably even wind up with a few skinned knees.

We can't see right now why God took her away

and we all know how much you wanted her to stay.

But hold tight the memories of the days, though they were few

Knowing she's safe in God's arms. He's taking care of her for you.
