I'm a single mom who recently moved from the city (Seattle) to a small town when my apartment building got converted to condos.  Although I'm digging not having to go into the office every day, it's been quite an adjustment.  An urban girl at heart, I've lived in Chicago, Vienna, and Morelia, Michoacan where I met the kidlet's father and joined an artists' collective. Now, I watch deer and eagles out my window.  I spend a lot of time reconciling my wild woman vagabond artist self with the challenges and responsibilites of raising a son by myself. As a woman whose world has always been very girly, I'm finding out how much I enjoy superheroes, reptiles, and reading kids' science magazines with my son. I am very fortunate to write Diary of a Single Mom on the Edge for Club Mom.  I also post a lot of fotos and write about my coffee addiction and the quest for the perfect cup on my personal blog Journeys of a Restless Mind.
