I'm a hip chick enjoying my life. I'm far more relaxed and at ease than when my kids were small. Is this due to experience and learned wisdom? Perhaps it's due to my former - partner. Yes to all of that but primarily due to new-found freedom and getting my "self" back again. That's the most important advice I can give anyone who is entering a relationship and considering having children - NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF YOURSELF!

Much has changed for me in the past 6 months. I'm single...or hmm, let's just say, "it's complicated" and leave it at that. I moved out of our home and into my own home and plan on staying on my own for a while. I need space and time for myself, to live my life and not someone else's. Still love each other very much, no question of that.

I'm enjoying my independance and have begun traveling again. I just returned from a week in Negril Jamaica and can't wait to return.

I plan on continuing my island explorations and am working on the Carribbean first, then back to the Pacific islands working my way towards Australia and then....I guess I'll hit the Mediterranean. Always wanted to go to Corsica and Ibiza and Lesbos sounds...well...damn interesting!

I'm all about optimism and positive energy. Let me say to those of you reading this, if you don't have anything good to say, don't bother trying to get in touch with me. I like honest, upbeat, direct women, like myself.

I avoid those who see only the dark side of life. I'm not one to "vent", if I share an problem or issue it's because I'm seeking outside perspectives. I'm not into pity parties or taking sides....each situation needs to be seen at from all angles. Advance thanks to those who always offer me their truth.

I live in beautiful Portland OR....aka Pornland, Brewtopia and Beervana.Good thing I love beer! Portland offers dozens of great breweries with excellent microbrews. I'm fond of Porter and Stout. Portland also offers more adult venues per capita than any other city in the nation and we have a huge GLBT community. I enjoy going to strip clubs now and then. I enjoy spending  free time at the alternative/clothing optional beaches. Nudity is a great equalizer!
