1. I'm 27 years old.
2. I have been happily married for 4 years now!
3. We delivered our first daughter, Savannah, stillborn on November 1, 2007, because of blood clots. Just think, though, she would be 3.5 now....
4. We delivered our second daughter, Garyn, healthy and happy on August 28th, 2008, just 5 weeks early. She's 3 now and growing so quickly!
5. We delivered our third child, a son, Gary Jr., happy, healthy, and completely drug-free (no pitocin, epidural, stadol...) on July 29th, 2010, full-term. He's such an awesome kiddo!
6. We planned to breastfeed with Savannah and Garyn was a champ at it until 16 months, also eating healthy foods. Woo-hoo for extended breastfeeding a toddler! Now, her brother, Gary Jr., is the one loving my nursies and hopefully will continue until he chooses to stop :D 13 months going strong so far!
7. We love living in smalltown, KY (most of the time).
8. We are members of a liberal, nondemoninational Protestant Christian church called Metropolitan Community Church.
9. I'm a vegetarian (but I cook meat for my husband and will also for our children, within the allergy limitations--pork AND beef allergies!!).
10. My hubby and I leave the child-planning to God, so if the 3 children we have are it, we feel blessed and if we have 10 children total, so many the more! We don't feel God just gives children by birth, either, so we are open to any children God chooses for us through adoption or even fostering.
11. We vote and give blood and think other able-bodied individuals should as well.
12. Also, for now, I'm feeling like a really crunchy granola momma, as we practiced baby-wearing and extended breastfeeding till 16 months (when I was 7 weeks pregnant and experiencing complications), baby signing, co-sleeping, home schooling, no CIOing, extended rear-facing the car seats, cloth diapering, and doing natural infant hygiene, too!
