The most beautiful and alluring of all natures beauty is revealed in a single petal of a pure blue rose. (For those of you that don't know, blue roses do not naturally exist in nature, nor do I) I am a hybrid; a combination of emotion, flesh and intellect. I have been pruned and picked by every experience that has occured in my life. From the heart wrenching to the tranquil and complacent. There is much more to me than can ever be contained within a few words or phrases. My life is beautiful, sincere, grand, but not my own. My soul wanders aimlessly searching for a quiet place to rest but my body is thrown tumultuosly thrown this storm called life. I am a unique individual that never categorizes neatly into the boxes that life provides us. Here is the beginning of what it is to be me… I'm a 25 year old biracial female from Philly (for those of you who are curious, that means I'm half black and half white). I also can be considered to be Irish, Italian, and German. I'm the ancestor of hard working people who were brought to this country as slaves, as well as part of a generation of owners of these people. I am part of the hundreds of people who came to this country looking for freedom, for wealth, for health, to begin life again. Right now, I'm going to Community College, pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. I work as an office manager for at a chiropractic facility. I spent three years homeschooling my children. Prior to that, I have spent the past 8 years working as an assistant preschool teacher. When Im not working with or studying children, Im raising my own adorable children. Christian is ten and in  5th grade and Peter is eight in 3rd grade. They both do Tae Kwon Do and I'm a leader in their Cub Scout pack. They keep me really busy. I am also engaged to the most wonderful man in the world and my high school sweetie.  When I get a break (whatever that is), I enjoy going to concerts, shopping, hanging out,reading and spending time with my friends. I also write poetry. My favorite colors are black, red and silver. I 'm not big on racist people, closed minds, violence and stupidity.
