Hi. I'm a reporter at my small town daily newspaper. I get to talk to a lot of interesting people, but there's also mundane stories. I like working and find a way to make it work with my family.
My kids are 6 and 17 months old, boy and girl. They're both very well adjusted, which I think can be partly attributed to being with other caregivers and children at daycare. My husband works swing shift so it's just me and kids at night. I have to use a babysitter about once a week for evening meetings - but it's usually grandma.
I consider myself to be an open-minded person and like to find out both sides of the story before passing judgement - and I ask others to do the same with me. I am not and probably will never be a SAHM and probably wouldn't enjoy it much - it's just not for me. I'm raising my kids, with the help of my family and a Christian daycare. Remember the old saying - "It takes a village to raise a child."
