  • Personal Statement

    Occasionally brilliant but mostly dog-paddling-average criminal prosecutor and blogger with the site "RunningwithStilettos," and photographer and journalist and mother of four, always juggling too many things at once but wouldn't give up any of them.  Okay...I'd really like to trade the stress of the far-off, elderly, failing parents for a box of Belgian chocolates and a good book, but haven't really found a way to make the swap!  The juggling list just keeps getting longer, I've recently published a collection of essays as "Running with Stilettos: Living a Balanced Life in Dangerous Shoes" which is available through Barnes & Noble, and just got word that I'll have a four-week photography show open at a cafe/art gallery down in Chicago in early March.  Woo hoo!!!!!  Life's short, have some fun, love with an open heart, and don't play in traffic, there's enough bad drivers out there that will find you anyway!

    Did you know that Cafemom will donate $2500 to Toys for Tots if we make 500,000 toys by Christmas using the Santa Scavenger widget! How cool is that :)

    But right now we have a long way to go. As a group we have to make 20,000 toys a day to reach that goal. It doesn't matter how big or small of a toy. Can you help us??

    I don't know where you live but the snow pictures were awesome! I'm in the south so a snow flake or flurry closes all the schools around here...lol! But believe me its for the best. Love your writing. Cathy from the NICE 40/50 Something Moms group.
