  • Personal Statement

    I am a single mom of an eight year old, Emily.  Her dad is not around and chooses to have nothing to do with her, which of course, I personally harbor some resentment due to that fact.  My daughter is my life...no, seriously, she is my life...that's the great thing about being a single mom...Don't get me wrong, I love it, but yeah, it gets tough sometimes. 

    Anyways, I love to write. I love to listen to the rain.  I am currently unemployed, looking for work.  I am on disability due to Bipolar Disorder (panic attacks and anxiety SUCK!!!) 

    Normally, I am a pretty cheerful person. Right now, I am a little cynical due to the fact that I have a major toothache and I can't get it fixed. 

    I am hoping to meet other moms who share some of the same issues that I have with just being a mom.  Both good and bad.

  • New Year's Resolution

    This Year satkinson78 Resolves to:

    Quit smoking, organize and be healthy

    How will this resolution have an effect on satkinson78?

    It will make me feel good about myself, which is something that is foreign to me. Not only will I be healthier, more financially stable and more organized, but I will be able to honestly say that I am HAPPY.

    How will this resolution have an effect on satkinson78's family?

    I want to be a good role model for my daughter. I want to show her that no matter what the circumstances are, she can do anything she wants in her life. I want her to teach her that women can be independent and live happy lives.
