    My name is Stephanie and I am going to be a mom for the first time, which really blows my mind!!!  I got married to my wonderful husband, Michael, on November 29, 2008, and my life has been amazing ever since!!!

    Michael and I met when we were both members of a cast during a community theatre show...he had a crush on me and I just liked him as a friend.  But he won my heart and we are both so excited to add a little one to our family!

    Other than that, I'm a librarian...yes, a librarian.  People always look at me twice when I tell them that but I am the first to tell you that I left my bun and cardigan at home!  I work with young adults and my job is super fulfilling.  I couldn't ask for better co-workers or patrons to work with.

    I graduated from LSU with my Masters in May of 2008 and I'm a HUGE LSU FAN!!!  I'm growing in my tummy right now the next quarterback or cheerleader for the football team!!!

    That's about all I can come up with right now...haha!

    Welcome to Cafe mom...I've been on this site for about two years now, I love it. Tons of groups geared for pregnancy...find the one for those due in month...find some others to take the journey with you. If you have any questions, please ask away...I have dealt with it all...high risk, morning sickness....so many times.

A Boy with Autonomic Dysfunction - The Miller Family

Our Special Life

Oliver was born after having suffered a stroke while in his mother's womb. The resulting brain injury is called Dysautonomia (Autonomic Dysfunction). His doctors believe the stroke was the result of the miscarriage of his twin. Oliver is completely blind and his underdeveloped brain stem makes basic physical functions a challenge. In spite of all this, he is a happy, go-lucky, 12-year-old boy, and his mom wants people to meet the real Oliver, not just his medical hardships.
