I did not realize that you were still active duty. My dh got 100% disablity and recieves his retirement and some money from the VA. The VA is much better now in helping people fill out the forms. Good luck to you. You know I would also consider you contacting a lawyer when you get out and see if there is something that can be done for your son. Also you may want to request a copy of your full medical record because it is good to have. These situations just make me want to cry honestly!

I just wanted to thank you for answering my question. Have you gone to the VA to see about getting disability? I only ask this because my dh was given disablity that were directly diagnosed because of his job in the military. I wish you luck and please keep fighting because you certainly deserve some sort of compensation. I also under you not being able to explain what you were actually doing...My dh and I both were in job fields that we can not discuss also.

Yeah feelings were hurt on all sides there. I don't remember exactly what it was Mal had to say, but Mal wasn't the only one upset. There were lots of members who were intentionally hurt that didn't deserve it, including myself. But anyway its over and done with, and I am glad you are ok!
