  • Personal Statement

    We are a young family  waiting to adopt a new member. We are always having fun and would love to share our wonderful life with a new baby. We adopted our son Ashton 4 years ago and we are are currently going through the same agency, Adoption Advantage out of Little Rock, Arkansas. They were great to work with on our first adoption and we are happy to work with them again. We have our home study complete, have completed infant/child CPR, taken a newborn care class at the hospital, and fulfilled all other requirements for the next adoption. We live in a wonderful neighborhood full of children and other young families. We have a four bedroom house. One of the bedroom is Ashton's, the other is a playroom, and the 4th bedroom is waiting to become the nursery. We are all ready for a baby. Ashton talks about  being a big brother all of the time. I think that the new baby and Ashton will be there for each other in the future and that is important to us because we both have siblings that we are very close to. Both sets of grandparents live in the same town so that makes it nice because we have never had  to hire a babysitter. We are a very close family who loves to spend time together. Luckily, we both have jobs that are flexible and we never have to miss anything. I am a teacher and Spencer is a physical therapist. My children will go to the school where I teach so that will be great to see them everyday! We both love our jobs but always put family first. We are so thankful for adoption because without it we would not be a family.
