Hey,
My name is April a.k.a Sweetpea. I live in Necedah, WI. I'm married & I am a proud mother of Andrew, 26, and of Christina, 22. I was a single mother when my kids were growing up [before I met my husband/their step-father, Joseph] and I believe I raised my two beautiful children to the best of my ability. If you ever were to meet them you would see for yourself that they are two outstanding individuals. My son is getting married in Aug. '08 to his beautiful fiancee, Kristin. Christina lives with her boyfriend of 2 1/2 years & I'm sure they'll marry some day soon!
I have a cleaning service called Have It Maid. I go to people's homes and clean for them, take care of their pets, etc... I love it! I wouldn't trade my job for the world. I make good money, I meet great people, and I get to see some awesome homes. I clean for people who have homes by lakes and cottages with their own ponds. I wish I had a lake by my house, too, but that's ok because my house is great! I've really made our house a home. I love it.
I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. They are my children! I don't know what I'd do without them. My husband is a truck driver, so he's gone all week long. My pets keep me great company.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. I had a lumpectomy in Jan. of 2006, chemotherapy from March to April and radiation from June to July. I lost my hair, but now I feel I'm going back to normal. As of right now I'm clear of any cancer. Thank God!
I've learned that life is very short and we should not take anything for granted. My life will never be the same. I'm now focusing on living a happy, no-stress life, and I thank God every day that I'm still here. The one thing that I would tell everyone is: Mamograms do save lives! Do not be afraid! There is so much technology out there to fight cancer, but you have to catch it early. Get to know your breast. Do your self-exams. Remember - the best protection is early detection. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask. I will be glad to help you.
Have a happy day!
Much love,
~*SWEETPEA!![]()
