I thought I had forgotten how to hold a baby ~ but my arms remember.
Perfect love sometimes does not come until grandchildren are born. ~Welsh Proverb~

A Grandmother is a little bit parent,
a little bit teacher
and a little bit best friend."

Grandmas are moms with lots of frosting.
A mother becomes a true grandmother the day she stops noticing the terrible things her children do because she is so enchanted with the wonderful things her grandchildren do.

fter months of drool-soaked bibs, Skylar's first tooth was spotted on September 10th ,2008 poking through the gum. Nanna is so excited that it just adds more beautifulness to Skylar's smile. Actually another one popped through two days later! No fussiness, as she is always happy no matter what.
UPDATE!!
She is cutting her 4th tooth and doing so good throughout it all!

Monday I threw out Worrying,
it was getting old and in the way.
It kept me from being me;
I couldn't do things God's way.
I threw out a book on MY PAST
(Didn't have time to read it anyway).
Replaced it with NEW GOALS,
started reading it today.
I threw out hate and bad memories
(Remember how I treasured them so)?
Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too,
threw out the one from long ago.
Brought in some new books too,
called I CAN, I WILL, AND I MUST.
Threw out I might, I think and I ought.
WOW, you should've seen the dust.
I ran across an OLD FRIEND,
hadn't talked to in a while.
His name is GOD the Father,
and I really like His style.
He helped me to do some cleaning
and added some things Himself.
Like PRAYER, HOPE, FAITH
and LOVE,
I picked up this special thing and
placed it at the front door.
I FOUND IT- its called PEACE.
Nothing gets me down anymore.
Yes, I've got my house looking nice.
Looks good around the place.
For things like Worry and Trouble
there just isn't any space.
It's good to do a little house cleaning,
Get rid of the things on the shelf.
It sure makes things brighter;
maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF.
BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!! May the Lord open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that you will not have room enough to receive it all.
Malachi 3:10. May the Lord bless you exceedingly abundantly above all you could ever hope for. Philippians 4:19.

Glad you stumbles across my cafemom page. A little about me...
My name is Amy Charmaine, wife to Ray going on 22 happy years. We have 4 kids ranging in age from 16-22. We now havea wonderfully 7 month old granddaughter who has brought so much joy to our lives it is unbelievable. I like to spend my time being online and meeting people that are honest and thoughtful. I do not get along with gossipers or troublemakers at all. I love reading, crochet, doing search a words, watching AMC,Animal Planet and the History Channel. I love angels, wild birds and wind chimes. I am an easy going person and love to laugh. Add me to your friends list and I am sure we can enjoy a true friendship.
I love inspirations! You will see me post my favorites in my journal. Please feel free to leave comments.
"Here's a thought based on Oprah's book club: Sit down at the end of each day and write out 5 things for which you are grateful.
We go through life each day so unaware, and take for granted so many things. There are those persons, unseen and unknown, to whom we need to be grateful. We take for granted turning on a light switch. We assume electricity will light the lamp, but how about the people that keep the system running? Same for the water, and the supermarket. We walk in and everyday it's filled with food. How did it get on the shelves; how did it get to the stores; how did it get out of the fields; how did it first get planted?
Everyday we need to overflow with gratitude. Looking at life from such a perspective will begin to change our daily attitude towards all life, and, quite possibly, even towards ourself and others."
