I have a 1 yr old boy named Bryton.  I live with my boyfriend of almost 3 yrs and we have his two girls Kelcey (5) and Katelynn (3) every other week (50/50 custody).  We are engaged, although we pretty much act like we're married already anyways.  I try to keep them as safe as I can, although I don't overdo it.  I childproof what I see as problems, I try to keep my house clean, although that doesn't always happen (I figure if their socks are looking dirty on the bottoms then I'm okay), I try to get them in the bath every other night, am trying to work on brushing their teeth at least every day, and I'm not one to disinfect everything.  I think this world is getting too clean and therefore kids aren't building up the resistance they need to fight illness.  I do use a cart cover, because those have been proven to have fecal matter and whatever else on them, which is just gross.  I work in a hospital (Radiology Technologist) and I know all about cleanliness, and how much is just a waste of time.  I do not dote every minute of my time to my child, although I love being with him all the time.  I can't get enough of him, but I know that I do need my space sometimes.  That sounds like enough to me.
