  • Adjusting to near empty nest syndrome. Is it time to be more selfish?

    I am a nurturer that does my best. Often I fail, but try to learn from it. My babies are growing, 2 are out of the house. I work too much and sometimes spend too much.

    I try to be socially concious and have taught my children to respect everyone. We have delt with bullies, special needs, and struggled with social economic prejudices in the past.

    I have found 'life" is not easy. I never realised how difficult raising children would be, but I would do it again.

    Most of my treaters are family, so I give nicer treats than if we got a lot of traffic. This year its bags with Halloween themed item; rubics cube, bandz and fizzy candy. This year I have bags for the moms (sisters) too. Fridge magnets and nail files with pumpkins on them. Wouldn't it be fun to give parents a treat too?
