I am an "Older Mommy" at age 47 and 4 kids from ages 3 (I can't believe I have a 3-year-old!) , 8, 10, and 12.  My 12 year-old son is dx PDD-NOS.  I am very active in his care.  I am a mom first--know its wrong not to be wife first---and is any mom "me" first??? but I love doing it anyways.  Love my husband.  He's a great dad, especially now that he finally gets this whole PDD thing. 

I am an aspiring writer with 2 magazine articles published and many writings I am submitting with hopes of being printed.  A current work-in-progress is a fun young adult fiction fantasy I hope to finish and submit soon.  I also hope to publish something that can help parents with newly diagnosised children.  I have learned so much.

I am interested in politics and currently campaign for my encumbant State Senator--who is a member of the family--- and a new State Representative.  I'm not a PTO type mom. 

My neighbors hate us because they cannot accept my son's diagnosis.  This has surged me into Autism Awareness and NeuroDiversity Awareness.  Love that word:  "NeuroDiversity!"  Can't we all just accept that we are all just wired differently. . . . please!
