That goes right to the heart. My fellow country man are good people and they suffered under the Nazi regime. My poor grandmother to this day is still haunted by the horror she endured under the hand of the crazed maniac. People like Irena and others like her should be remembered and honored forever.

It is unimaginable what these people went through at that time. Imagine how many people would not be here if she had not saved those 2500 children?? What a brave woman.

This woman deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Unfortunately last year the committee decided Al Gore was more deserving. What a crock. This world needs more people like Irena who are willing to sacrifice for the good of mankind.

Wow, what a life she led! What a woman! She is an example of what every woman should be; couragous, unselfish, and willing to make sacrifices! She was a true Christian in ALL senses of the word! She saved so many children, who would have died in the Holicaust and the evilness that was the Nazi Regime! I feel she was more deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize, than Al Gore!!!!
