Commentary: Is McCain out of his mind? - CNN.com

cnn.com - (CNN) -- John McCain needs what Kinky Friedman calls "a checkup from the neck up."

In choosing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mate he is not thinking "outside the box," as some have said. More like out of his mind.

Palin a first-term governor of a state with more reindeer than people, will have to put on a few pounds just to be a lightweight. Her personal story is impressive: former fisherman, mother of five. But that hardly qualifies her to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

I've been reading all the post about what a great pick this is, and no one wants to face the fact that this woman has issues and has no experience, is bad for the environment, and the list goes on.

OOOOOOOoooohhhhh! I want to see the first woman VP in my lifetime, so I'll just throw out all my values, leave the troops in Iraq for the next hundred years, and ignore the fact that you can't stay awake long enough to run this country and go ahead and vote for you, Senator McCain! You're too clever for us gals!

Oh...See this is the issue with Obama supporters. You are so ready to support "change" good or bad that u attack republicans. I personally think there may have been a better choice for VP.....but let's be honest, Clinton supporters ( female) will be all over this. So, strategically a good move. And really, can u really say that a man who has NO MILITARY EXPERIENCE can be commander in chief?? Be realistic that is stupid. We will fall into a socialist state, and for those who don't actually know anything about barack obama, please educate yourself.

Your candidate of choice, couldn't even manage to get his ass out of bed to vote most of the time. Or did he have better thing to do like run boards with William Ayers, or hate white people with William Wright?

I am against keeping status quo when it comes to oil. If this woman is put into power then she will stop at nothing to drill in ANWR only prolonging our dependence on oil and disrupting a viable ecosystem...does that sound like change to you carmyne?
