Sounds more like a hand-out to me than a solution to helping people get back on their feet, speaking of reforming welfare!

Reform?? HA!!! All I see is a way for people to prosper without effort. What will be the use of a college education or working hard at a company for years? I mean afterall, under this plan, if you succeed you won't really succeed because what you earn will be redistributed amongst those who don't want to pursue personal prosperity through education, etc. Why put all that effort into a career if you can make the same money by just half-assing your way through the work force and not pursuing an education???

This man wants the government to run the country. Once we do that, YOU can say goodbye to our freedom....Half of our country is routing for this disaster, our own people are just giving away our freedom... They should just go live in other countries and see how well their government takes care of their people...They will run back.
However, McCain/Palin will clean up the mess that is going on. The benefits of a unified party is PRICELESS....The only person that has promised this IS McCain, and he is the ONLY ONE who will deliver...
What I find funny is Obama claims McCain is "OUT OF TOUCH"....The only people out of touch are the supporters of this freak., they are brainwashed......Obama has a mission for this country and the agenda he has laid out spells TOTAL CONTROL...What is there not to get...HELLO !!!

In his latest memoir he shares that he'd like to "recast" the welfare net that FDR and LBJ cast while rolling back what he derisively calls the "winner-take-all" market economy that Ronald Reagan reignited (with record gains in living standards for all).
Obama also talks about "restoring fairness to the economy," code for soaking the "rich" — a segment of society he fails to understand that includes mom-and-pop businesses filing individual tax returns.
It's clear from a close reading of his two books that he's a firm believer in class envy. He assumes the economy is a fixed pie, whereby the successful only get rich at the expense of the poor

I would certainly like to KNOW where the funding is coming from (for secondary education). WHO is supposed to pay for it? Is it to come from an across the board tax or is it from the businesses?
Does he not understand that, if businesses, from "mom and pop" to larger, mega- corporations are over-taxed, they will have to, 1., close their doors, or 2., move to other countries to benefit from tax shelters. A LOT of our larger corporations have already done this. Now, how has that benefitted the majority of people in this country? It has not. In fact, this is exactly what has created the lack of decent, well paying jobs IN this country. Businesses can only take SO MUCH of socialistic taxing before we all lose.

He's going to raise taxes BIG time!
Our current Income Tax Rate is 35%, Obama's will be 39.6%
Payroll taxes now are 37.4%, Obama's will be 52.2%
Capital Gains taxes are 15%, Obama's will be 28%
Dividends are 15%, Obama's are 39.6%
Estate Taxes, which are set to be down to NOTHING in 2010, these taxes will be back with Obama and at an alarming 55%!!! -
I can see what taxes are doing in my own state(WI). Due to what our governor has done, we're losing major businesses (Miller!!!!!!!). It's scary to think of it happening to our country as a whole. :(
