  I so would have referred to be in ignorant bliss on this one. I know vaccines do have possible side effects, but you can't live in this country without them. Here you can't get a kid in a school or daycare w/o vaccination records. It sucks. Do they really need formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol (antifreeze) and human diploid cells? What would happen if these things were left out? I'm seriously curious.

  Rebecca, there is no law that says your child has to be vaccinated. You can get a religious exempt and can have your kid go to school.

  
  

  My oldest got very sick after a series of shots and was a different child after that. I do not vaccinate my youngest.

  Rebecca.. you have been lied to. Check out the choosing not to vaccinate group here on cafemom...there's a ton of good info there (in the stickies at the top of the forum list) about ingredients, studies, anecdotal testimonies, exemptions, even a list of child friendly doctors who will agree to not assault your child.
  
  My neighbors son is 12, never vaxed and in public school. She did not have to jump through hoops either. It is your CONSTITUTIONAL right to refuse invasive especially unnecessary, medical procedures for your child. My grandson has never been vaxed... I am hoping that my kids will homeschool him but if they don't, they will have no problem getting him into any school that accepts public funds.
