It's All Gravy Now
Comments (1)We have officially established a bedtime routine that is working and has been consistantly working for a few weeks now. I take Haidie for a walk in her stroller for about an hour starting at 8pm. The evening is cooler than the heat of the day so we can really enjoy it. When we get home I run a warm bath and her and I jump in for 10-15 minutes, she loves to play in the water. Justin puts on her baby lotion, and gets her warm jammies on while I finish showering off, and then I nurse her until she passes out. She's out by 10-10:30pm every night and sleeps until about 5-5:30am, wakes up to...

Travel Advice Needed
Comments (1)Haidie and I are going to be traveling by air next week. We flew with her to Minnesota from Alaska a week and a half ago for my brother in laws funeral. She did not like flying at all! I don't know if it was the noise of the plane or all the people around, but she was quite fussy the whole time. I would take her into the lavatory with me just to get away and she would calm down in there and be good, but I didn't want to hog one of the rooms the whole flight so I was in and out with her throughout the flight. I did figure that people would rather be one restroom short than hear...

Laundry!
Comments (1)I would never have believed how much laundry is involved with a new baby if someone had told me before I had Haidie. No one warned me however and holy crap is it ever mind blowing. I used to do laundry maybe once a week when it was just my husband and I... now we are doing a load a day! Whatever she doesn't spit up on of hers, it's my shirt or dads shirt, and if she doesn't get us with her burp up, it's poop or pee. Bodily fluids galore! God I love my kid.

Sleep schedule is out of control
Comments (1)I napped all day with baby, which I don't normally do. So now she's passed out cold after having a full tummy and getting a nice bath and clean jammies. I've been cleaning house all night, something that hasn't happened in... who knows. It's SO nice to have tidy rooms again. Pumping out a bottle for when she wakes up. I'm debating having a beer. I do love the quiet times. =)
