It has gotten a little hectic around here!I have Not moved. I have Not had a baby. I have Not been sick or had any other dramatic life changing experiences. I've been CafeMom Lazy! I stop in everyday but never really take the time to form a thought much less write a journal. The business is doing well. We have had a steady flow of work (mostly commercial jobs) and the money trickles in occasionally with the commercial accounts. But when you own a business, money is always a major focus...and money is Not my favorite thing to think about! A couple...

I thought this was cute!Three women die together in an accident and go to heaven. When they get there, St. Peter says, "We only have one rule here in heaven: don't step on the ducks!"So they enter heaven, and sure enough, there are ducks all over the place. It is almost impossible not to step on a duck, and although they try their best to avoid them, the first woman accidentally steps on one.Along comes St. Peter with the ugliest man she ever saw.St. Peter chains them together and says, "Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this ugly...

The holidays are stressful for adults! Is that why we torture our youngest children with "The Santa Visit"? Dun, Dun, Dun (ominous background music)...http://www.chicagotribune.com/features/chi-santa-ugcpg,0,5303846.ugcphotogalleryFinding parking at the mall, credit card bills, trying to find the perfect gift...we bring that upon ourselves. These poor innocent children are told (and sometimes forced) to sit on the lap of a strange old man in a red suit and fake beard that usually has horrid breath as their...

An email forward that I received from another Great Momma! Enjoy! Dear Santa, I've been a good mom all year. I've fed, cleaned and cuddled my childrenon demand, visited the doctor's office more than my doctor and soldsixty-two cases of candy bars to raise money to plant a shade tree onthe school playground. I was hoping you could spread my list out overseveral Christmases, since I had to write this letter with my son's redcrayon, on the back of a receipt in the laundry room between cycles, andwho knows when I'll find anymore free time...

Here's what we did last weekend....I got my hubby a gas powered leaf blower for his birthday. He wanted to try it out right away (hence the night time photo)...The kids couldn't resist....They played for an hour, then K-la lost her shoe (thanks to N8n).... We don't get snow down here so we make due with what we have! This pile is only half the yard...There is a swale here (K-la is sitting on her butt)and today it was about 70 degrees...I don't miss the Northern winters At All!

So two days ago, we were doing the morning routine plus....I was in the kitchen making some eggs for breakfast, curling K-La's hair for picture day (she brought the curling iron into the kitchen), and coordinating the day's activities with JT. I hear a familiar sound - please remember I have a curling iron wrapped around by daughters hair in one hand and a spatula in the other while looking at my husband and talking.I turned around and N8n is yanking on the garbage bag. I had to do a double take. Can you picture a three year...

Happy Halloween Everyone! Hope your night went well. Our halloween began last week at Party City, K-La needed a costume for a school dance that was the next day so we ran over to Party City (one of my least favorite stores). The lines were long, the store was crowded and the employees are confused. I figured we should get N8n a costume since we were there. So we are standing in front of the Wall-O-Costumes, K-La picks out a couple she likes and goes to wait for the employees to get them. Now I am left standing with a 3 yo, grilling him about what he...
