This is a follow up to my journal about my children being picky eaters. I had my consultation with DieticianJudy, it was wonderful! She gave me so many good ideas!

1. Do not give in to my kid's, either they eat what we eat or not, I am not going to be a short order cook.

2. Involve them in the preparation and planning stages more, I talked to the girls last night about this we are going to start making our grocery list together by going over the weekly sales paper, and they are going to help more with the preparation of meals and snacks.

3. Turn the tv off during mealtimes, focus on my plate not theirs.  I think the girls will def enjoy this, I usually ask them about their day right after school but I think maybe we can do the more in depth talk at dinnertime.

4. At dinner, dont plead and beg with them to eat, let them eat and when they get up they are done.

5. Snacks- she gave me some wonderful ideas for snacks that are healthy! For instance instead of ranch dressing for dip, use plain yogurt and spice it up with onion powder, garlic powder, etc. Have a dip party snack! Let them try different dips out.

I believe this is going to help my girls become less resistant to trying new things and to start eating more healthy.

Will update soon!!!
