I miss her.
My cousin Kysa, Aunt Janice's daughter, has suffered more than me and all of my family combined. She lost her mom right after graduating from high school. But Aunt Janice lives in her. Kysa is the kind, gentle soul who is has a gift for listening. She has this amazing ability to connect in conversations and offer sensitive, brilliant advice.
Thank goodness for my memories of my special, sweet and quirky aunt. Thank goodness for her daughter.
Has anyone you know suffered from breast cancer? How has that changed you?
Comments:
My hubby's grandmother is in her 80's and just went through a double masectomy. I had never given breast cancer much thought before then. Our daughter is named after this amazing woman, so we will be using her experience as a learning tool for all of us. I hope you are able to offer some natural prevention and treatments along with conventional western medicine in your blogs.
My mom was just diagnosed a couple weeks ago and will be undergoing surgery next Tuesday. So far just a lumpectomy. Noone else in our family has ever had it, so it IS true that most women who are diagnosed have no history of it. Always get your mammograms moms!!!!
I am so very sorry for your loss...Thank you for sharing your story with us.....I myself am doing pretty much of all you have listed above ( But I am sure I could always do BETTER )! This flower to " ME " represents the death of my mother...Several bloomed the day she passed away to Cancer ( And that bush would NOT bloom until after she passed )....It now blooms often....Death of a loved one is always so hard....

I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing.
I lost my mother this past May. (May 8th, 2008. ) I spent Mother's Day with her in the funeral home. My mother was my best friend, she was also the best grandma to my 3 sons. I miss her so much. It hurts everyday without her. This is my first of many Christmas' without her. Cancer sucks, kills, and ruins lives. I hope we find a cure in our generation. I will be walking in 2009....the Susan G. Komen foundation the 3 day walk.

I'm so sorry about your aunt. I can't say that I have been affecting by this awful disease in any way. But I can say that it's something that I "could" be affected by so I'm joined the fight by saving lids. If you haven't joined a team but would like to, feel free to join The Pink Flamingos. Thank you for posting this!
