Boy oh boy did I have them! 

I took everything from Relpax to Imitrex and Imitrex injections.....I had been addicted to sugar, overweight and unhealthy weighing 182 lbs.  I was always tired, moody, irritable and not fun to be around.  My  life would be on hold because I was always laying down in the dark nauseaus and my husband rubbing my head while I would cry making my head pound worse.  I would got to the ER for Morphine and Demerol cocktails given through an IV with a bucket to throw up in.  I would suffer for 3-4 days and when the migraine was over, I still had the "bruising" effect of a headache.  Spinal taps, neurology appointments, acupuncture, chiropractor...nothing worked.

I was known by everyone in the ER because I was literally there twice a month....

Now I live a wonderful life and my health is better.  I feel pretty bad for those who have them because I know what it is all about.  I had a family member commit suicide because of her migraines.  No one understood her pain but I did.  BUT I WOULD not do that to myself!  Lord no!!! If you would like to know what I did to change my entire being...listen carefully because it took me years to figure it all out and now I am so happy to not have the life I once knew...which was NO life at all! If you really want to change how you feel here is my advice. 

  • 1. NO CAFFEINE, red wines with sulfites (preservatives), heavy amounts of chocolate, lunch meats or foods with nitrates, high sugary foods, or high sodium foods (WHY? Preservatives are major triggers for migraines!)
  • 2. NO PERFUMES Glade candle or fragrances like cheap candles, Snuggle type of fragrances, heavy chemical products, make up or lotion with perfumes. (WHY? If you would not drink perfume, then why smell it?  It is damaging your cells.)
  • 3. NO PRESERVATIVES in toiletries like PARABENS:  methyl, butyl, isopropyl, ethyl are causing tumors and breast cancers.  They are found in many lines of makeup, lotions, deodorant and kids toiletries.  There are hundreds of documents that are published that state these facts that the paraben molecule attaches itself to the tumors. Mineral oils are in  of women's toiletries.  This is mainly for automotive purposes and we put it on our skin to feel soft when it is clogging our pores so the skin cannot breathe therefore causing migraines.
  • 4. CHEMICALS IN OUR HOMES:cleaning products are constantly around us, bleach, pine sol etc...switch to a non toxic brand.  I use EPIC which stands for Environmental Products For Important Causes which are non toxic and safe for you.
  • 5. NUTRITION AND DETOXIFICATION:  I used the USANA 5 day Cleanse to jump start my new life to get me off the carb roller coaster that was causing me to eat more sugars.  This helped with my carb cravings. I also lost a lot of weight. I enjoy a "treat" once in a while, but I no longer allow food to control me.  Also, the USANA supplements that are pharmaceutical grade and the only ones listed in the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference) along with high doses of Calcium and Grape Seed Extract.  Before you run off to the health food store, I would not recommend buying store bought because they can actually only legally have 10% of what it says on the bottle as far as the contents which may mean you are paying for nothing.
  • NO MORE PRESCRIPTION DRUGS:Yes!  I am off all of them!  Not one single drug in my body.  This may take a little while to get out of your system especially if you were on the pill.  You will feel the difference.  It jut takes a little time. 
  • BETTER FOOD CHOICES:  like not consuming so much dairy and eating healthier makes a huge difference with foods low in sugar.
  • WATER WATER WATER!  take your weight and divide it in half.  That is how many ounces one should drink every day.  This will also help with sinus migraines!  This may be the hardest thing to do on this list but probably the most important thing to do as well.  Recommended reading "Your Body's Many Cries for Water" check this out http://www.watercure.com/

I hope this helps.  You may have to take baby steps to do this.  It may seem hard at first but pretty soon your body will tell you what to avoid once you start avoiding bad things.  It is really a great feeling to be able to attend family parties, functions or just to plainly go outside with your kids and play without missing out on life.  You can have your life back if you really desire to!

Wow,

I'm so sorry you had to endure all of that, Thank God you are well and enjoying life. You look absolutely Fabulous. I will pass this information on to my friend who suffers from migraines.
