Blended foods are whole foods that have been blended and still retain all their fiber. Since, the food is blended, the body will have to work far less to digest the food, but because the fiber is still present, the body will still have to do some digestive work.
Juiced foods are foods that have been passed through a juicer. The juicer separates the liquid from the fiber, removing the fiber from the food. The body will have much less work to do when the foods are taken in juice form, due to the fact that the fiber has been taken out. (very easy digestion & reaches the blood stream quickly)
Now, is one way better than the other? Not really. It depends on the needs of the individual. If someone was seriously sick and it were a life or death situation, in some cases juicing would be better because the nutrients would reach the blood stream more quickly, due to fiber extraction. If someone wanted to change their diet and help their body become more fit, then blending foods would be a great idea and serve the purpose of their desired goal along with exercise.
So, it is always best to help the body assimilate its food with the least work as possible. Consuming only juices for a couple of days is a great way to detox and allow the body to rest. For most people, juice fasting can be challenging, but when considered in terms of baby steps, one can see beneficial results when done one day of the week and gradually incorporating juicing and blending into your everyday lifestyle.
