I have had such a sleepless week!

This is is how everything has been for me:

On Mother's Day my sister went to the hospital because her water broke.  the baby was not coming but she was still having pain.  They took and ultra sound and found out that the baby was fully breech!  They did an emergency c-section.  An hour after the baby was born they whisked her off to the U of M.  My sister did not get to hold her or nothing!  I did not feel that this was right nor fair to my sister.  It turns out that the baby was almost a month late and it was the doctor's fault for not taking her early.  She has a heart condition. She is on oxygen and a monitor and meds.  She was in the hospital for almost two weeks.  My sister got to bring her home on Friday.  She was 10lbs 5oz and 21 inches. lots of black hair!  I will post a photo soon!

On Wed. I had a very sick baby:(  I was up with her the night whole night and all day.  At 7:00pm I decided to take her to the ER. When they took her temp it was 102.5.  they gave her some Tylenol and We waited in the room.  After an hour the doctor came in and checked her out and wanted to do a nose and throat swab.  They came back negative and then he did an x-ray.  It came back with pneumonia in her right lung and starting in her left:(  they had to start  I.V.'s right away because her temp went up to 105.5.  It was about 5:00 in the morning when she got to her room.  I had been up the night before with her along with all night Wed.  I was running on over-tiredness!  I just held her most of the time and could not believe what was happening!  I stayed by her side and never left.  She was released at 7:00 pm on Thurs.  She is doing better but still gets very tired easily and I have to watch the temps outside.  She has a doctor's appointment on Tues.

Yesterday we had a family gathering and picnic in celebration of the two babies coming home and that we all got to be together for this holiday weekend.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and God Bless everyone!

I know you probable know this but just in case pnemounia is easy to have come back.  She needs lots of rest.  Very low activity.  Her lungs need to rebuild so to speak.  You sure have had your share of reasons to be exhausted.  I too was unable to hold my children after they were born..  they are 7 and 4 and that feeling of lose unfortuantley never goes away.  We as moms need that.  No matter what.  Stupid Dr's
