Well, my name is Joanne (if you hadn't guess that already, lol) I'm 26 and have been married for 6 years this July 1st. We have a daughter who's 4 called layla. We're both English and moved to Naples 7 years ago.

My husband owns his own mortgage business and is about to buy a restaurant and I'm a stay at home Mom though Layla is in preschool. Sadly I'm a bit lonely, I have a few close friends but most aren't Moms or in a relationship and I feel like I'm in a different place in my life than they are.

I was in a car accident a few years ago which has made it that I don't drive anymore, simply because I haven't plucked up the courage to get behind the wheel yet, I will do eventually, fingers crossed!

I'm a happy go lucky kind of person, I see the funnier side of life and am more than happy to laugh at myself for doing something really stupid, which seems to happen pretty often, hehe. I'm bubbly, but I still have my bad days where I'll keep myself to myself. I love to read and learn new things, but my biggest passion is cooking, I love to create new things, I'm not fantastic but I still love it and try to find new things to cook and bake all the time.

I feel that not being able to drive limits me alot especially when it comes to making new friends, i would never expect people to come and pick me up so we can go places. I'm lucky enough that Laylas school is less than a mile away so i can walk there if I need to, but also that I have a husband that is supportive and we usually take Layla to school together, he goes off to work and I go to the gym (that is when i feel like it, lol)

I'd love to make new friends that live nearby, People that i could make a pot of coffee and go wandering to their house in my pyjamas in the morning, lol. My house is always open and I love a good lazy day in pyjamas watching movies, hehe.

A daughter who is almost 2 and a son who is almost 3 months.  You replied to my post about the groceries & you sounded interesting.  I'm trying to do that experimental cooking thing, too!  I really enjoy being able to be home to do it.  Plus when I read your journal post that whole walking to a friend's house and having a pot of coffee sounded just like something I long for too.  Too bad we don't live closer. I'd like to get to know you better.  Hope to talk to you soon.

My name is Claudia I'm 32 yrs old I've been married 10 years and I have a (soon to be) 3yrs old daughter and I'm a stay at home mom too,I guess we moms would like to have a friend that we can walk to and have that pot of coffee with .my family is an hour away by bus so i don't get to see them as much as i would like to , I'm afraid to drive too ,not because i had an accident but because I'm afraid of all the crazy drivers on the road .so I'm mostly just walk around the neighborhood with my daughter ,i love hanging out with her but sometimes I need to had an adult conversation
