Memorial Day is a chance to honor those who gave their lives for OUR freedoms. I think about the young men and women in uniform today who understand that if not for them our way of life, high gases prices and all, would or at least most likely would be much worse. I think about the mothers and fathers who leave their children behind to save our children. I think about the veterans who wear their uniforms so proudly on holidays and at special events. I think about the flag they gave my grandmother at my grandfather's funeral. How it is proudly displayed in her living room. I think about the parents and spouses who's sons and daughters, husbands and wives who will be handed a flag at their funeral and then be proudly displayed in their homes. Memorial day is a time for gratefulness and humility. If you know a veteran or a current member of our armed forces take the time today to do something special for them even if it is only to say THANK YOU. They are the finest men and women our country and in my opinion our world has to offer.
