Moving to Omaha!

DH has been trying to get a job with Union Pacific since the end of 2007. He just retired from the AF and we have friends that we've known since the late 90's who now live in Omaha. Mike (our friend) has been very helpful in Todd's (DH) quest for this job. Last week Todd went to testing in Omaha for the job and found out he gets to go back on 2 June for an interview! Mike said that if Todd has an interview, he has a 99% chance of getting the job! Todd also works evenings at Home Depot and told them his last day will be this Friday, the 30th. He told me that even if he doesn't get the job, he still wants to move up there because he really likes the area. Omaha, here we come!

May. 28, 2008 at 2:22 PM Welcome to Nebraska.  Omaha is such a fun place.  I grew up in Lincoln, and now live in a small villiage about 1.5 hours from Omaha.  I love to go there when I can and shop.   Good luck!

May. 28, 2008 at 4:44 PM Thank you, ladies, for the warm greetings! We are moving from Little Rock, AR. We've been here since March 05. Before that, we were stationed at Eielson AFB, Alaska, and miss it every day! Even the boys keep asking when we are moving back to AK. Hopefull they will like Omaha. They do say they will miss their friends here, but I remind them that they will make new ones up there. Plus, our friends there have two boys, one is around 10 and the other is around 5. This will help my boys adapt, I'm sure.
