any recruiter's wives out there?

So, my hubby is getting fed up with his unit, and wants to go somewhere else. He is thinking of going recruiter. So. . . I'm just wondering if there are any suggestion of where we should request going. We want to go to the east coast (We are currently in CO, but family is in NC. So, we'd like to head back there.). We want somewhere where the cost of living is kinda low. Somewhere where the crime is low, good schools, ect. I"m open to any suggestions or anything you think i should know. thanks!
